@ 12 months
- I just got my first tooth, and it is rocking my world!
- I took10 steps by myself on my birthday.
- I say "mama", "uo-oh", "dog", "ball" all really good.
- I know where eyes and mouth are.
- I am still a total momma's girl.
- I copy everything! (clapping, smacking your lips, noises...you name it.)
- I love whole milk, but am still nursing 3x day.
- I am starting to throw fits...I'm sassy and I know it.
- I sleep from 8:00-6:30 then get to sleep with my mom until 8:30 when I wake up.
- I love my grandma and grandpa Evans, they are the only people I will reach for out of my mom's arms.
- I only sleep on my belly now.
- I always get rocked to sleep, naps and bedtime. I like it that way, and so does mom.
- I can still out scream anyone.
- Everyone that knows me says I have quite the personality. I am spunky, sassy, and smart!
Obsessions
-Pickles.
-Dogs.
-Sticking my face in water.
-Pulling everything out of my drawers and putting it back in.
-Bathtime- I could break a record for the fastest crawler when I hear the tub filling up.
-Eating paper- I'm starting to finally spit it back out, mom is so proud.
-Singing patty cake and the itsy bitsy spider, I'm awesome at the actions.
Frustrations
-Getting in my car seat.
-When mom or dad takes away something I shouldn't have.
-Being left alone.
-Getting my diaper changed.
What we don't want to forget about this age
I always make this noise "ooo-ooo" like an owl. I do it alllllll the time. Mostly when I'm excited. I always do it first thing when I wake up, mom and dad think it's pretty funny. Sometimes I'll do it while I'm breastfeeding. That's momma's favorite!

11 Months
Easter 2012
Best Easter Ever! Thanks to this sweet little darling.
@ 11 months.
Eating
Still nursing.
Eats everything.
Pretty much whenever.
Sleeping
Bedtime at 8:30.
Wakes up at 7:30-8:00.
Snuggles with me back to sleep until 9:00.
So wonderful.
Obsessions
Getting chased up the stairs.
Standing up at the dryer. Weird.
Playing with the blinds.
BABIES.
Eating my make-up brush.
Jabbering
Says "mama" whenever she needs something.
Says "dada" when she sees him.
Says "uh oh" when something drops.
Says "ba" (ball) when she sees one.
Says "do" (dog) when she looks outside.
Newest one...Says "am-ma" (grandma). So cute!
What I don't want to forget about this stage
Every morning you wake up I sit you on my lap, you clap your hands, purse your lips, and say oouuh, oouuh, oouuh. You then continue to do it all day long. It's adorable and hilarious!
A few other goodies
She mimics coughing. I cough, she coughs. So funny!
She stands by herself, but still isn't taking steps alone. She is SO close. She cruises with her walker, she is just a chicken.
She still has NO teeth. I'm not complaining.
When I sing she tries to sing (yell) louder.
She stops doing something to "no" now.
Is so observant, she watches everything.
Gets sooo excited when I unbuckle her from her carseat.
She is the patty cake queen! She claps, rolls it, and throws it like a champ. It is just precious!
Will throw her head back laughing, if she thinks something is really funny. That's the best.
I have videos of all these silly things she does...of course. So maybe I'll post a few so I can share the goodness. I can't believe she is almost one. This age is AMAZING. I know I say that every post...but seriously.

10 Months
Tae's Obsessions
-Eating toilet paper/paper
-Taking all the clothes out of her drawers one by one and throwing them behind her shoulder, she think she is hilarious...and she kind of is.
-Playing peekaboo, but SHE is the one hiding, putting something over her face or her hands above her head. SOOOOO cute...my personal favorite.
-Open and closing doors while she can see me, then she can't, then she can, and so on...could entertain her for hours.
-Other babies/kids...she gets so excited she spazzzzes out. (especially her cousins- Max and Mase.)
-Drinking out of a cup by herself. She nearly hyperventilates she gets so happy.
-Splashing in the bath, and putting her head under the faucet over and over and over again. The girl is not a sissy when it comes to water.
-Pony tails, she screams grabs it and tries to eat it. Strange.
-Outside is her favorite. Although she only lasts about 5 minutes before the good old BOB puts her to sleep.
What I don't want to forget about this stage
- She plays with my eye lashes when she starts to get sleepy. It's the funniest thing. She becomes so incredibly focused, and will pinch and pinch until she gets a hold of them. That's when of course I move my face, and she will instantly pull my face back and try again. She's so weird I love it.
-As I said she loves eating paper. The best is when I try to get it out of her mouth and win, she grabs my hands with total aggression and bites my fingers to let out her frustration. hahahahaha I die, it's so funny!
Eating
-Breastfeeds 4 times a day.
-Eats real food 3 times a day.
-Her favs: breakfast-oatmeal and peaches or millet, lunch- cottage cheese, pears, or a green smoothie, dinner- FISH or spaghetti, snack- Graham crackers or bread!
-She is a big breakfast eater, she will eat the same size bowl or oatmeal or millet as me.
-She is not picky at all, she will still eat almost anything.
-I'm beginning to let her explore with foods and try to feeds herself. HA! Wish us luck, it's a disaster.
*Can I just say because I can how much I am in love with breastfeeding. I know the year mark is coming up and I'm having some serious sadness with the thoughts of stopping. So don't judge me if I'm still breastfeeding her when she is three. :) You know I'm kidding...kind of.
Sleeping
-Typically sleeps from 8:30-8:30.
-Naps twice a day, early nap 11-1, late nap 3-4.
-She sleeps best in her car seat. In fact, sometimes if I really need her to take a good nap, I'll lay her in her car seat and she is out! If she wakes up I put the cover down, binky in, bounce her a bit, and she is back asleep. Lovely isn't it.
-Ryan looooves to sleep with her, so pretty much every time I come home from night shift she is in bed with him. I tell him to stop, but secretly I don't want him to cause it's just the sweetest thing.
-Still falls asleep playing with my hair.
-She is such a snuggler. So we take full advantage of it.
*She hasn't been sleeping through the night for the past little while, waking up several times for her binky. I'm not really a "let them cry it out" mom, so I just kept waking up to give her the binky, and she would go right back to sleep. But after a while of this, I thought this isn't just a phase it's got to be more than that. So a couple weeks ago I started to give her a bottle at night after I breastfed, and waallaaa she hasn't woken up since. Why it took me so long, well I hate to see my freezer supply dwindle away, because HATES formula. She obviously wasn't happy with my supply by the end of the day. I guess my baby and I getting a good nights rest is worth it. Derrdrrdrr!
@10 months (for our record)
-Starting to stand alone for a second...then wusses out and plops back down.
-Cruises up stairs.
-Says "uh-oh", and oh my is it cute!
-Walks along furniture and with her walker like a champ.
-Still no teeth! But eats like she has 5.
-Says "mama" and "dada" I think discriminately.
-Says "Bo" my parents dog.
-Is the patty cake queen. Every morning I sit her on my lap after I nurse to chat for a bit, and all she wants to do is patty cake, patty cake, patty cake.
-Will give fives.
-Gives you anything if you say "can I have it."
-Understand the word "no" but doesn't feel like obeying quite yet.
-Is getting such a personality- she is going to be a jokester like her daddy, and feisty like her mommy.
We are so in love. I already want another so bad, but am also wanting to enjoy the heck out of just HER. hmmmm...we will see! Bye bye for now.

6-8 Months
Today is a good day!! Why? Taelyn is finally crawling forward like a champ. She has been able to crawl backwards for a few weeks now, so she would crawl backwards away from what she wanted and get even more frustrated. When she would try to then go forward she would just plop on her belly wiggle her arms and legs in the air, and cry until she was picked up. Weirdo! I don't know why she just wouldn't roll over or get back up on her knees again. So as fun as this all was, we are just thrilled she is crawling now.
Other big news from the Tripp household, she said "mama"for the first time today and I really think she knows it's me! She says it when she wants to be picked up for when she is being ignored...so I take that as she wants me. :) Aww it's sooo cute! She has been able to say "dada" for a while, but I'm still not quite sure it's directed at Ry. It's still so suuuuper cute.
Now that we are on a roll with Taelyn updates why don't I just give you all the goodies you would ever want to know about the little squirt and more! This could be very boring for everyone but me, so please be prepared I might over do it.

Eating
* She is a piggy. We've tried to give her every taste, texture, and temperature possible because we don't want a picky eater, and so far it has paid off. This little thing will eat anything, and a lot of it. Her favorites:
*breakfast- oatmeal or millet with peaches
*lunch- green beans and pears
*dinner- sweet potatoes or of course our dinner pureed if it's good enough for her.
*snacks- FINGER FOODS, crackers, bread--whatever she can eat herself.
*Still no teeth---but she sure eats like she does. She will bite off pieces of celery, carrots, apple you name it so we have to be careful. She is the cutest little chewer with no teeth.
*Still nurses 5 times a day.
*Still nurses 5 times a day.
* Doesn't like regular baby food, she needs momma to make and with some texture.
Sleeping
* Favorite place to nap- our bed or her car seat. Only sleeps in her crib overnight.
* Falls asleep playing with my hair or face every nap.
* Often wakes 45 min into nap wanting me to lay by her to go back to sleep.
* Asleep by 8:30-9:00. Occasionally will wake 1-2 hours after she is down to fill her tummy up, but usually sleeps without a peep until 6:00am when she nurses back to sleep and is up for the day at 9:00am.
Playing
*Not much of a self entertainer for longer that 10 minutes. I can blame myself...she is a spoiled little turd, BUT now that she is crawling I'm thinking it will get better.
*Favorite toys: jumper, walker, piano, anything she can shake to make noise or chew on, and of course anything that is not a toy. Favorites--watches or toothpaste.

Obsessions
*HAIR
*Sucking on a pickle
*Drinking from a cup
*Other babies/kids
*Eating paper
*Playing in water
Frustrations
*Getting dressed
*Mommy leaving the room
*When she isn't getting attention--haha
What cracks us up
*What is the thing called when you stick out your tongue and vibrate your lips? ----She does that all day. Even sometimes when she is nursing she will come off, do it, and go back on. It kills me.
*When she gets frustrated crawling and lays on her belly, and screams while she is flailing her arms and legs in the air.
*She will legitimately have screaming wars with us when she is her high chair. It's hilarious. Probably not the best idea, but we can't help it.
Daily Schedule for our record @ 8 months
*nurse at 6am, 9am, 1pm, 5pm, 9pm
*breakfast 10am, lunch 2pm, dinner 6pm
*naps 11am-1pm, 3:30-5:00pm, bedtime 8-9pm
(Don't be fooled---often times this doesn't exactly happen.)

Milestones from 6-8 months
*Sits without support @ 6 months
*Drinking from sippy, straw, and cup @ 6.5 months

*Jabbers, trying to put words together @ 7.5 months
*Crawling backwards @ 8 months
*Can pick things up with pincer grasp @ 8 months
*Says "dada" at both of us @ 8.5 months
*Able to pull self up to something and stand @ 8.5 months
*Taking steps with help @ 8.5 months
*Says "mama" to mom @ one week short of 9 months.
*Crawling forward @ one week short of 9 months.
*Says "mama" to mom @ one week short of 9 months.
*Crawling forward @ one week short of 9 months.
*Knowing what she wants and getting upset when she doesn't get it or when it's taken away...NOW...yay! :)
A few things I've learned.
*Read your baby not books.
*Be flexible with their schedule, although schedules are important.
*Nurse if you can. Not only is it the best thing for your baby, but you will have some of the most precious moments doing it.
*Run a humidifier in their room year round. They won't get sick, and if they do it doesn't last long.
*Write down everything they do or else you will forget.
*If you have time make your own baby food, you save lots of money.
*Enjoy the living crap out of them, they grow way to fast.
Last but not least, what I reallyyy don't want to forget
Her scream. Sounds weird, but seriously this girl is a crack up. I'm not talking about a mad scream, I guess you could call it her "happy scream."
She does it when...
- she is excited.
- she is frustrated.
- she hears someone else scream.
So ya, she may be a little spoiled, a little high maintenance, a little bit of a drama queen. But with all of that she is the most hilarious, energetic, adorable, full of life little squirt I have every seen at that age. I really think she might just conquer the world someday. I just feel like the luckiest mommy in the world to have a baby so full of life. I am so in love.

5 Months
So on my 5 month birthday I finally decided to roll over a bazillion times, now that I'm home with mommy I'll keep her wondering by just being content on my back and belly. Here are a few of my very favorite things:
bathtime.
snuggling in bed with mom.
my bumbo chair.
grandpa being rough with me.
daddy rubbing his face on my belly.
mommy kissing me neck.
riding in my bob stroller.
my flower head toy.
attention. attention. attention.
My grandpa tells me I'm the happiest baby in the world, as long as I'm getting the attention I need. Grandma tells me I'm the prettiest little thing she has ever seen. I finally have to sleep in my own room. I'm not a huge fan. The first night mommy put me in the crib I screamed in the middle of the night because it wasn't comfy. Mom lasted about 5 minutes before she came sang to me back to sleep. She says people tell her to let me "cry it out" she tells me that's pile of crap. The next time she made me a more comfortable bed then I decided to sleep through the night like I usually do. Mom and dad were quite relieved. My mommy gets really sad that I have to sleep in my own room now, she liked me in the pack and play next to her bed. I think daddy likes me in my own room, he gets a better nights rest and so do I not listening to him roll around all night. That's all for now.

4 Months.
I am turning out to be one happy baby! Let's be honest until I was 8 weeks I was a handful! I got a little easier, but didn't grow out of all my discomforts until I was 3 months. At 3 months mom says I did a 1-80! I am now a happy, smily, giggly baby all day long. Except I do throw fits sometimes for no reason at all. My mom laughs and talks to me, so I laugh back. She never believes me when I'm throwing them, unless I'm hungry. Most people say they have never heard a baby scream like me...I guess I have some good lungs! My first smile was when I was about 1.5 months, and from them I'm just getting happier and happier. So hear is the rundown of my reflux and pooping problems. I started getting reflux when I was about 4 weeks old, then I grew out of it at 12 weeks. I still spit up quite a bit, but it doesn't hurt anymore. I still only poop every 3-5 days. I'm completely happy and content with that schedule, and so it mom and dad. I have learned how to use my voice and I talk alllll day long. Everyone laughs and laughs at me. My favorite things are bathtime, flower head, and my bumbo chair. I am still a mommy's girl, but sure am getting along better with daddy. He take good care of me Saturday nights while mommy is at work. I hang out with grandma Evans on Monday's while mommy work, she is one of my favorites. I still sleep in the pack n' play by mom in the night. I think she has anxiety about me sleeping in my own room. I go to bed at 10:00 and sleep until 6:00. I usually get to sleep with mommy for an hour or two if I wake up at five and jabber...so sometimes I do that. Life is good. We are in our new house in Morgan, and we all love it. Life couldn't be better!

2 weeks and NO poop!
It's been a rough couple of weeks. I am now 6 weeks old and haven't pooped on my own for two weeks now. Last week when I was 5 weeks my mommy gave me my first bottle with prune juice in it to try and help. It was hard to get the hang of the bottle, I got it all over me but then sucked it right down. I still like my mommy's food lots better. Prune juice won't help, suppositories won't helped, warm baths won't help, sitting me on the toilet (advice from grandma Evans) helped once, but my mommy has resorted to using her little pinky to help because that's the only thing that gets the job done down there. So I've had about 4 poops with my mom's help in the last two weeks, but haven't went on my own. My mom has totally changed her diet for me which has been really hard for her because I know she loves food! My doctor isn't worried about me a bit, he says I'm perfectly healthy and I'll get the hang of it soon. Hope so! I'm loving life when I feel good though. Mom has got me on a pretty good schedule. I eat, then have playtime with her for about 45 minutes, then take my nap for a couple hours, then wake up and do it all over again every 3 hours. If I feel good I can sleep 6-7 hours without waking up, but if I don't I'm up every 3 hours. Nights are my favorite time to hang out with mom. If I'm really lucky she lets me sleep with her, I could sleep all night. She has only let me couple times though cause she knows she shouldn't...only when I really don't feel good. My dad works early in the mornings so we try not to wake him, but I love the play with him in the evenings. My favorite is when he sings to me. He will sing "Taelyn Sue..." followed by something that never rhymes, it's pretty funny. I am starting to get out more. My parents took me to the Bees game and out to dinner last week, I hated it. I also went bowling with Max and Mason, but I stayed in my car seat the whole time where no one could touch me. My moms turned into a germaphobic! Anyway pray that I poop soon!
